mind To be 'mindful' is to take heed of or to give thought to something. When we are asked to 'mind' something we are usually requested to take great care of it, to safeguard its wellbeing and to have concern for it. So it is with our thinking. Our thoughts make our world and in turn our world makes us and so we have a responsibility to take care of our thoughts each day. When we are 'mindfull' we do not have a full mind, but the opposite - a mind that is empty, so what arises can be seen with clarity and attention brought to the present moment. For it is in this moment we make the next, and so on it goes. Future thinkers understand how important it is to bring presence into the present as it is 'here' and 'now' we make our future. Practices for the 'mind' might refer to:

We begin a sitting meditation at 7.15 for 40 minutes followed by five minutes silence and leave by 8.00am. Begin your week with a tranquil mind.
