The 'body' is a term we use to refer to the main part of something identifying it from other parts of the whole. Being able to identify the physical aspects of a thing allows us to distinguish it from all other phenomena. Giving something identifiable form often gives it existence.
Used here the term 'body' may refer to:

a physical space to meet;

an embodiment of an idea or design.
atthespace is simply a space to allow things to emerge ~ in body, speech and mind.
It provides an emptiness, an empty space that allows a dedicated place for physical forms to exist (even if just for a short time). This takes the form of an intimate gallery space for the making and showing of new works by emerging artists, a location space for temporary art installations, a display space for new ideas and a performance space for different ways of being.
